Bandai Namco has announced that the latest game in the popular rhythm series, Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch on September 22nd.
The game will feature 76 songs including ‘Gurenge’, ‘Feel Special’, and ‘Into the Night’, along with a new “Improvement Support” Concierge Mode that helps you with upping your drumming skills and overcoming parts you have trouble with.
While the best way the play Taiko is with a Taiko drum set, the game offers multiple different ways to play including ‘Handheld mode’, ‘TV mode’, ‘Controller Sharing’, ‘Motion Controls’, and ‘Touch controls’.
Outside of the regular drumming. The game also offers a single-player story mode about becoming a Taiko master, as well as Party Games, Mission Mode, and Online ranked matches.
Each of these will earn you don coins which in turn can be sued to unlock collectibles like new costumes from the game’s mascot Don Chan.
Taiko has also announced that the game will have a subscription service called the Taiko Music Pass. Subscribing will allow you to play over 500 different songs from across Vocaloid, anime, and video games on top of the ones that are already in the game. A 7-day trial for the service will also be available.
Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythm Festival will release for Nintendo Switch on September 22nd, 2022.
