Bandai Namco has announced that Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC on November 7. This expansion brings the popular rhythm game to new platforms, offering enhanced features and exclusive content.
The game will be available in two editions: a standard edition priced at $49.99, which includes the “Namco Game Music Pack” DLC, and a Setlist Edition at $79.99, featuring additional DLC packs including “Anime Songs Collection,” “Pops Collection,” and “Vocaloid Songs Collection.” A demo is currently available on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam, allowing players to try the game before purchase. Digital pre-orders have also begun for both editions.
The new release marks a significant milestone for the Taiko no Tatsujin series, as it will be the first to support 120 frames per second on consoles. It will also introduce new collaboration music and mini-characters exclusive to these platforms, as well as the “Run! Ninja Dojo” mode previously added to the Switch version.
Accessory manufacturer HORI will release dedicated controllers for the game, with versions compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, as well as Xbox Series and PC. Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival features a variety of game modes, including the traditional Taiko Mode and party games for up to four players. The game includes 76 base songs across multiple genres, with the option to access over 700 additional songs through the Taiko Music Pass subscription service.
This release brings the colorful and engaging world of Taiko no Tatsujin to a wider audience, offering both longtime fans and newcomers the chance to experience the rhythmic fun on next-generation consoles and PC.
