Square Enix recently announced HD Remaster Tactics Ogre: Reborn and has confirmed that the game will replace the original’s class-wide leveling system with a unit-by-uni system.
This was reaffirmed in a recent post on the company’s Facebook page:
To further clarify, in the original game you would level up each class in the game, and anyone who was in that class would be at that level. For example, level up a Warrior to level 30, and anyone who changes classes to Warrior will also be level 30.
In Tactics Ogre: Reborn each unit will level up individually regardless of their class. This will also for greater customizability and the potential for players to build more specialized teams.
Tactics Ogre: Reborn is an HD Remaster of the PSP game Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together which in itself was a remake of a Super Famicom game. The title of the game is a reference to the Queen song Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together).
The game will be released on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC on the 11th of November.
