Synnex, the company in charge of distributing Nintendo products in Thailand will be representing the publisher at this year’s Thailand Game Show.
Announced earlier this week via Facebook, it’s not currently known the scope of their presence at the event, which runs from October 20th to October 22nd.
“Synnex is back again at the Thailand Game Show x Wonder Festival Bangkok 2023 event”, the post reads. “This time it has become the official distributor of Nintendo (Nintendo), a Japanese game maker and console game maker. It will be accompanied by new game releases, and inside the booth is full of stations to try games from Nintendo Switch along with special promotions and deals exclusive to the event!”
That being said, the Facebook post does promise demo booths, as well as new game announcements and sales on Nintendo products at Thailand Game Show.
This year’s event is also held in collaboration with Wonder Festival Bangkok, and ticketing information is available via ZipEvent.
Both events will be happening simultaneously at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, and though there is a combo ticket each ticket bought is only valid for one day.
Unlike publishers like PlayStation or Xbox, Nintendo partners with local brands in the SEA region to distribute first-party games, accessories and consoles, often going with specific brands for each country.
These include companies like Maxsoft, as well as, in more recent years, Convergent.
Synnex had taken over distribution duties for Nintendo products in the country from the previous authorized distributor, JD Central.
