Symphogear XD Unlimited Global shuts down

In a pretty sudden turn of events, Symphogear XD Unlimited for Global shuts down, as announced via its social media accounts. Their Facebook account simply states the following:

Thank you for your continued support for Symphogear XD UNLIMITED. Service has been suspended on the following date.
End of Service: 2020/07/31, at 21:00 (PT)

The game launched 14 February, so it barely lasted three months before this announcement. The global version for Symphogear XD Unlimited seems to be no longer available to download even though it does have a little while before it officially shuts down.

At any rate, interested players will need to check in on the in-game notices if you’ve bought any in-app purchases, mostly about unused paid currency. Funnily enough, the shut down announcement came right after an event commencement notice for “Innocent Sister”, which lasts until 30 July, a day before the game shuts down. Considering how long lasting the Japanese version has been so far, it’s certainly a strange turn of events, if anything.

Well, what do you think? Hopefully you enjoyed what little of the game you played before you return to the Japanese version, one supposes. We’ll see if they have any end of service events too.
