Sword Art Online Black Swordsman: ACE, a new SAO mobile MMORPG

The closed beta for a new Sword Art Online / SAO mobile MMORPG, Sword Art Online Black Swordsman: ACE had recently concluded. Looking to be a China exclusive release once again, the description given by its TapTap page says:

In 2022, Sword Art Online : Ace, the world’s first fully submersible MMORPG, was finally released.

The game is a nightmare of death – you can’t leave the game unless you fully walk through Sword Art Online : Ace, and once you’ve played Game Over, you’ll be “dead” in the real world! “You’re one of the players imprisoned in the Death Game of the Floating City of Ein Gronte.

As one of the players imprisoned in the floating city of “Ein Gronte”, a game of death, you will also embark on a series of adventures in order to complete the 100 floor walkthrough.

Things of note:

• Play as either a male or female character, customizable. Beta has 3 classes
• Combo counter on landing attacks
• Players can be seen on the overworld
• Jump and dodge button
• Virtual joystick on the left, skills on the right
• Appears to have NPC companion, unsure if it’s part of the story
• Story will have you meet series characters, Kirito appears as his game avatar instead of his real self

SAO Black Swordsman: ACE might be an interesting one to try out when it launches officially.
