Gameplay Guide
Interested in giving State of Survival a go but you’re unsure how to go about with the game? Here are some beginner gameplay guides and tips that you might wanna consider during your playthrough of State of Survival!
Resource Production is Key
State of Survival is a strategy game with tons of buildings to build and units to strengthen up to fend off against the infected. With that being said, one of the most important things with keeping up with the growth of your Settlement is focusing on resource production, which is possibly one of the most important things to keep in mind when playing State of Survival.
Having your Settlement be able to produce enough resources to sustain all the necessary upgrades of your buildings as well as unit training is essential. One of the focuses you want to have is to build up as many resource production buildings as possible. Buildings such as Farms, Lumberyards and Furnaces are your go-to buildings and you should always have as many as you can build up and make sure it’s also upgraded to as high as possible.
Almost everything needs resources to upgrade so it’s imperative that you always have resources in your reserve to progress through the game. Starting off the game, it might seem as though you have an overabundance of resources, but as higher the levels of your buildings are, the more resources you’re going to need to upgrade them going forward, as the cost of upgrading your buildings from level 7 onwards will have a steep increase in price.
Strengthen Your Heroes
The playable characters you control are called Heroes and strengthening them plays an important part in State of Survival as they’re key characters to help you progress through the story from playing through the “Explorer Trail” missions which players can access through the Hero Precinct building.
These Explorer Trail missions will have players gather a group of heroes to fight off against the infected and search for loot as you unravel the story of the game.
Not only do you uncover the mysteries behind the story of State of Survival through these Explorer Trail missions but you can also receive Hero upgrade materials such as Hero Badges, Skills Books as well as Hero Fragments which can be used to upgrade your Heroes.
These Explorer Trial missions aren’t the only missions that players will need their Heroes for, expanding your Settlement by clearing off the infected will also require the aid of your Heroes, so having stronger heroes means having access to higher level content which will ultimately reel in higher level rewards!
To access the Hero upgrades tab, all you have to do is click on the “Heroes” tab located on the bottom game UI where you’re able to see the list of all your acquired heroes as well as their stats!
Strength in Numbers
Joining in an Alliance is also super important for players, especially if you’ve just started with the game. Alliance members can help each other with various tasks like decreasing the time it takes to research technologies and with constructing buildings, which is super important because some of the high level building upgrades can take up hours, so with people helping to decrease the construction time lets you save up precious Biocaps!
Joining an alliance may seem intimidating at first with some alliances asking for an application before you can join them, but there are also a bunch of alliances that have open recruitment so you can join them without any requirements whatsoever, so feel free to join whichever you find fancy and you might even make new friends along the way!
