Super Mecha Champions opened its pre-registration just last month and it is now available in Southeast Asia for iOS and Android.
This is a game that would likely appeal to anime and mecha fans alike, thanks to its anime art style and mecha battles. Besides that, its cast of voice actors will also appeal to fans of anime. In fact, famous veteran Tomokazu Seki (Gilgamesh, Fate/Zero) and Rina Satou (Misaka Mikoto, A Certain Scientific Railgun) are voicing the main male and female lead for the game.
Super Mecha Champions has certainly garnered a lot of attention in recent weeks. Since the game had over 200,000 players who pre-registered, anyone who starts the game now will get bonus goodies. This includes the mecha “Arthur” and some in-game currency.
You play as one of two Pilots at the start with more available later on. There’s a total of seven Pilots so far, though you can only pick Ning or Rom at the start. One of the Pilots, Joanna, is unlocked with the first Crystal purchase (microtransaction) you make.
Pilots can call down mechas in a match, using it to fight other mechas in grand duels. Eight different types of mecha are available so far, each with different capabilities.
