Recently in this Christmas season, Super Mario Run has decorated the game with the Christmas theme. Now they have released an add on mode, Friendly Run, to race against your friends! However the number of times you can play it is limited of up to 5 times per day. Since Toad Rally requires you to pay Rally Tickets, this mode does not! You can pick anyone that is in your friends list and race against them!
Friendly Run is a new mode that allows players to race against their friends. The mode does not cost any tickets and will not earn nor lose you any toads. It will also not increase the number of enemies you have defeated in the mode. Since Super Mario Run’s Toad Rally is one of the aspects of the game for you to earn toads and build your Mushroom Kingdom, this mode will allow players to practice with their friends to get good in Toad Rally.
The Friendly Run mode will require you to complete the Kingdom Builder tutorial to unlock the mode. If you have not completed World 1, you will only be able to play Friendly Run once per day. Completed World 1 will enable you to play up to 3 times. However if you have completed World 2 and beyond, you will be able to play the mode up to 5 times per day. Of course, you’ll need to add friends into your list to be able to play that mode.
To add a friend, go to your friend list, tap on Link, Invite or Add. Once the person accepts your invitation, he/she will appear in your in game friends list! Choose anyone of them in your list and challenge them to a Friendly Run. Just tap on the Run button to start and get your thumbs working.
Personally, I think the limit is redundant. Since this is a paid app with limited number of levels along with Toad Rally that requires tickets to play, the limit to play daily on Friendly Run will just increase the frustration of the people who paid for the app. There are no options to pay in-game as well to circumvent the limits. So with that in mind, the game may be fun and all but the limits will only fuel player’s frustration over their limited experience.
