Super Bomberman R 2 Available Now, Featuring Custom Maps & Bean Bomber from Fall Guys 

The latest in the party battle game series, Super Bomberman R 2 is now available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.

As announced by Konami, both the physical and digital editions of Super Bomberman R 2 are available for purchase.

Super Bomberman R 2 will feature various action-packed content including an all-new story mode, fan-favorite battle modes, as well as the addition of the Bomberman legacy: Castle Mode.

Additionally, the game will also allow players to create custom maps to share with each other online with the inclusion of a Level Editor tool and the number of stages the community can find is limitless.

Alongside familiar characters, the game will also bring in new faces such as the beloved Bean Bomber from Fall Guys as a collaboration with Epic Games, available to download as a playable unit from the in-game store.

Battle Modes

The launch of Super Bomberman R 2 will also include various battle modes, for example:

Castle 

A 1 versus 15, attack versus defense asymmetrical online battle mode where the defending player must create maps and place defensive traps to slow down the offense.

The defending team will be able to utilize different terrain options, wall placements, defensive gimmicks, and the assistance of a new character type called “Ellons”.

Meanwhile, the attacking side must blow through the other team’s defenses to reach all the treasure chests to gain victory.

Battle 64

A classic and chaotic battle royale mode that features up to 64 players and everyone has to fight each other to be the last man standing.

Grand Prix

In the Grand Prix team battle game mode, players have to compete with each other, knocking out other players for crystals.

Standard

The return of the beloved classic battle mode from previous Super Bomberman titles.

Share Custom Maps with Stage Editor 

In addition, the game is also introducing the Stage Editor, a new tool for players to create their own custom maps and share them online for others to enjoy.

Konami claimed that the amount of new and distinct custom stages available to be uploaded, found, and defeated will be limitless.

Tale of 8 Bomberman Brothers 

Follows the story of 8 Bomber Brothers and their new friends, the Ellons as they attempt to save the universe when the threat of the Black Moon starship looms across the universe, destroying planets it visits.
