Summoners War: Lost Centuria, the latest title from Com2uS, succeeded in crossing the 1 million downloads mark on its launch day. The real-time strategy PvP game released on 29th April 2021 on iOS and Android devices.
Considering that Summoners War: Lost Centuria already nabbed more than a million pre-registrations even before launch, 1 million downloads is practically a given. Furthermore, a day before the official release, the game was already available for pre-download. This led to Summoners War: Lost Centuria ranking no.1 on the Apple App Store in countries such as Korea, Germany, France, Thailand, Hong Kong even before launch.
Outside of those countries, the game also performed well in Japan, Taiwan, USA, Europe, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Part of its immense popularity could also be attributed to the World 100 Invitational. This is a pre-event where 100 influencers from around the world competed in Summoners War: Lost Centuria prior to release on 24th April. Riverdale actor Charles Melton, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and comedian Jinho Lee took part in the event. The success of the World 100 Invitational event also highlights the game’s future prospects as an esport.
