Warner Bros Japan has revealed the release date for Suicide Squad Isekai, alongside featuring Vtuber Mori Calliope for the show’s ending theme.
The new trailer reveals more story premise for the anime, as well as unveiling the release date and voice actors for six more characters.
Those characters and their respective voice actors are:
- Rick Flag – Taku Yashiro (VA for Kouichi Shindou in Horimiya)
- Katana – Chika Anzai (VA for Chisato Nishikigi in Lycoris Recoil)
- Amanda Waller – Kujira (VA for Orochimaru in Naruto)
- Fione – Reina Ueda (VA for Kanao in Demon Slayer)
- Aldora – Mamiko Noto (VA for Mavis Vermillion in Fairy Tail)
- Cecil – Jun Fukushima (VA for Kazuma in KonoSuba)
According to the trailer, the anime is slated to release in July 2024, though no exact day has been revealed.
Aside from the cast, a preview of the ending theme for Suicide Squad Isekai was also played during the trailer, which is named ‘Go-Getters’ by Mori Calliope from Hololive EN and composed by Giga&TeddyLoid.
Those who frequent the Vtuber scene will not be unfamiliar with the pink-haired Grim Reaper Vtuber from Hololive EN. She has been known for creating quite a few popular songs, with her first original song “Excuse My Rudeness, But Could You Please RIP” amassing 39M views on YouTube as of writing.
Suicide Squad Isekai is an anime project that was first announced 8 months ago by Warner Bros Japan, the production of the anime will be handled by Wit Studio, who are known for producing other popular anime such as Spy X Family and The Ancient Magus Bride.
