With the last game from Rocksteady Games being Batman Arkham Knight in 2015, the developer has rather quiet with what it was going to be working on next. Early rumours suggested that the team was working on a Suicide Squad that was to be revealed at the DC Fandome event. The rumours of course turned out to be true.
In any case, it is unknown if the game will be playable on current generation hardware, or if it would be making its debut on the next generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. With this announcement out of the way, one would wonder as to when we will be seeing a new Batman game. Regardless, and for the time being, we are going have to speculate as to what kind of game Suicide Squad is going to be. Given its pedigree, we will not doubt be seeing some sort of third person action game of sorts, although the prospect of playing as the ‘bad guys’ this time around and a couple of them at that is certainly an enticing one. Might even involve taking out Superman, but we’ll see.
