Korean animation team Studio Jangbbijju has hit it big with the paid animated short about the PS5.
The video follows the ever-sexist trope of men having to lie to their spouses to buy a new console, with a surprisingly heartwarming twist at the end.
This is a big jump for Studio Jangbbijju who first made waves with a similar video about lying to your spouse for gaming back in 2019 with the PS4. That video has since taken the Internet by storm, sitting at 9.6 million views.
Jjangppijju Shorts Episode 2 is marked as paid content and ends with the Playstation stinger, which is a big deal since that means Playstation had taken notice of the original short.
It also has all the same artistic choices as the first episode, although with a noticeable jump in quality, due to the artists improvement in the time between the two shorts.
It’s great that Playstation and Sony are taking more notice of their community and engaging them for promotion of the PS5, which launches in Malaysia this week.
