Capcom has released a new trailer for the latest character being added to Street Fighter V, Oro. He’ll be added as part of the Season 5 character pass DLC and will be available to play as next week.
Gotta love that jazzy 90s theme song
Oro first appeared in Street Fighter III: New Generation. He’s a Japanese cave hermit who’s over 140 years old. He ties on hand behind his back when fighting to make sure he’s doesn’t accidentally kill his opponents. He now seeks to find a fighter worthy of inheriting his fighting style. He’s often seen with his pet turtle who he now carries while he fights.
He’s considered one of the strongest fighters in the series in terms of the lore. Apparently, he can even give Akuma a run for his money.
Oro is part of Street Fighter V: Champion Editions the season 5 DLC. He’ll be released with his own stage and three character costumes.
He will be followed later this year by Akira, a guest character from the Rival Schools series, and a brand new character Luke. You can read about all the new changes coming to Street Fighter 5 on Playstation Blog.
Speaking of Luke, Capcom has also released a new trailer exhibiting some of his gameplay.
Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is available for PS4 and PC.
