Street Fighter Duel, the mobile brawler based on the Street Fighter series is getting an English release, after previously only releasing for the Chinese market.
The announcement was made during the North America East portion of the Capcom Pro Tour, though no release date has been given for the game.
Like many other mobile games, Street Fighter Duel will have you building a party of characters based off of the Street Fighter series. You’ll have a party of up to 3 of them, executing special moves on waves of enemies.
As any gacha game fan knows, of course, there will be multiple versions for each character, sporting different outfits. For the most part, the basic characters appear to be based on their appearances in Street Fighter IV, but the game also features other costumes such as casual Street Wear.
While nothing has been said officially, it’s also safe to assume that the English release of Street Fighter Duel will have the Chinese release’s crossover events, such as a collaboration with the Monster Hunter series that saw main character Ken sporting Gore Magala armor.
Despite the existence of mobile fighting games, many mobile games based on popular fighting games tend to opt for the more RPG route, such as the case with Blazblue Alternative Dark War.
