Capcom has revealed the theme music for Rashid, the first DLC character for Street Fighter 6, and while it’s far from bad, a lot of fans don’t think it compares to the highly acclaimed banger that was Rashid’s theme in his debut game Street Fighter V.
If you like hearing it yourself, here’s the Street Fighter 6 Rashid theme from Capcom’s Youtube Channel.
The new theme “The Turbulent Wind” is far from bad. It has a snazzy jazz tune and traditional Arabian strings that fit Rashid’s upbeat personality and makes for a catchy tune during a match.
The problem is that his Street Fighter V theme is considered one of the best new songs in the game. It’s a fast-paced techno beat that goes all out once the beat drops to the roaring sound of “RASHIDOOOO”!
It seems as many fans feel the same as the Twitter response to Rashid’s new theme are mostly people singing the praises of the Street Fighter V tune.
It’s not bad but man it definitely doesn’t hit as hard as 5’s
I wish we could use the songs we got from the fighter’s pass in-game, I would totally blast Rashid’s sf5 theme all day. pic.twitter.com/ruprvz1PxX

I genuinely like the sf6 music, but any subsequent theme for rashid after V was destined for failure.

Street Fighter 6 is actually the first game in the series since Street Fighter III where every fighter has a brand new character theme as opposed to a new cover of their original theme. For the most part, fans have liked the new themes and agree that they help the game feel new and fresh.
In some cases, like with Rashid however, it seems that the new theme just can’t beat the greatness that was the original.
Street Fighter 6 is available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Street Fighter V is available for PS4 and PC.
