Capcom has officially announced the release date for Street Fighter 6, alongside a trailer showing off more new characters for the game.
In the trailer shown at The Game Awards, they confirmed that Street Fighter 6 would release on June 2nd, 2023.
The trailer also shows gameplay for returning character Dee Jay, as well as newcomers Manon, Marisa and JP.
JP in particular marks an interesting addition to the roster, being a proper setplay character with teleports to mix up opponents and setups.
Meanwhile Manon looks like a much more Neutral-focused character, while Marisa looks more like another big-body brawler.
Unfortunately it doesn’t look like these characters will be making a sudden appearance in the upcoming Closed Beta for Street Fighter 6.
Single Player Content
Aside from the characters we were also shown more of the Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode, with even more single player content for the game.
This includes what appears to be a brawler mode, as players fight off waves of incoming mobs of thugs.
You can also tag in other characters for this mode, with the trailer showing you call in Ryu to do assists similar to a lot of classic Beat’Em Ups.
On top of that we also got a look at other minigames featuring your player character, including a Test-your-might style bottle opening game.
