Street Fighter 6 is getting an open beta ahead of its launch next month, though without too many changes from the previous closed betas.
In an announcement today, they showed that the Open Beta would contain the same roster of Street Fighter 6 characters as before, not including any of the newer characters like Blanka, Zangief or Cammy.
“STREET FIGHTER 6 is to be released on Friday, June 2, 2023, but we know you simply cannot wait!”, the statement reads. “Because so many people sent a request during the recent closed beta test, we will now carry out an open beta, allowing more and more fans to try things out”.
Here’s the full list of characters featured in the Open Beta:
- Ryu
- Ken
- Chun-Li
- Guile
- Jamie
- Luke
- Kimberly
- Juri
The Beta will run from May 19th to May 22nd, and will be an identical build to last December’s closed beta.
Fans can also begin pre-loading the beta from May 16th.
Aside from the online versus, it will also include bonus modes such as Extreme Mode, as well as allow you to create your custom character for use in the Battle Hub.
Capcom haven’t clarified, however, if custom characters made during the Demo would be usable in the Open Beta.
Just like the previous betas, the Open Beta will be available for PlayStation and Xbox Consoles as well as PC, and will feature crossplay between them.
