Capcom has announced the release date for the hotly-anticipated Costume 3 DLC for Street Fighter 6, with new outfits for the starting cast.
In a new trailer, they confirmed that Street Fighter 6 Costume 3 would release on December 1st, with new costumes for the entirety of the game’s starting roster.
DLC fighters Rashid and AKI won’t be receiving their costumes just yet- though Capcom has confirmed they’ll be available the same time as the release of Akuma, the final DLC fighter for Season 1.
It’s not currently been mentioned if the costumes will be free DLC or not- Costume 2 was attainable for free via the game’s World Tour mode, though fans who wished to skip the single player experience could also just buy them outright.
Fans may recognize a majority of the Costume 3 options from in-game illustrations- with costumes like Zangief’s suit and Marisa’s wedding dress all having appeared in the game prior.
Similarly, Blanka’s Blanka-chan costume also appears in the background of his stage and in World Tour.
This brings a bit of good will from Street Fighter 6 fans, who had been critical of the game’s avatar cosmetics- the game’s season passes all revolve around the custom fighter, as has the paid DLC like the TMNT-themed skins.
Street Fighter 6 has been hands-down one of the biggest fighting game launches this year, with the title being nominated for The Game Awards Best Fighting Game category.
The game was played at this year’s gamescom asia, which played host to the Singapore Offline Premier and saw high-caliber players like Daigo, Gachikun and Tokido come down to compete for a ticket to Capcom Cup X.
Similarly, the game is now having its first ever discount on both PlayStation and Steam.
