Shift Up has announced a significant update for Stellar Blade, launching November 20, 2024, that brings an exciting collaboration with Nier: Automata alongside several new features and quality-of-life improvements.
The highlight of the update is the crossover with the Nier: Automata, featuring Emil’s Shop as a special addition to the game world. Players will have access to eleven collaboration items that blend elements from both games. In addition, this partnership stems from the creative dialogue between Stellar Blade’s Director Kim Hyung Tae and Nier’s Director Yoko Taro, with Emil’s character (voiced by Maii Kadowaki) taking center stage in the collaboration.
The update also introduces a comprehensive Photo Mode, allowing players to capture moments throughout their journey with advanced camera controls and filter options. Characters, including protagonist Eve, will have access to various poses for creative photography opportunities.
Additional content includes four new costumes and the ‘Symbol of Legacy’ accessory, which modifies the appearance of Tachy Mode. The patch extends language support with lip-sync features for six new languages and enhances the game’s social features by allowing players to select specific songs from the turntable during camp breaks.
Combat receives attention in the Stellar Blade update with improved auto-targeting and ballistics correction for enemy insta-kill skills, while character customization expands with a new “No Ponytail” option for Eve.
