A day ahead of the release of Stellar Blade, it would seem that New Game+ has been added to the game with its day-one update.
Was super bummed at the item of starting over without my outfits and upgrades. NO LONGER IS THAT A CONCERN pic.twitter.com/NrzzLnkHpV

According to reputable content creator FightinCowboy on X/Twitter, Shift Up has already implemented the New Game+ patch that will allow players to carry over their progress.
Per FightinCowboy, New Game+ for Stellar Blade will transfer all previously completed game’s progress to the next game, including all equipment, currency, items and records, character enhancements, drone, acquired skills, and owned SP.
This is undoubtedly great news for a New Game+ experience, as Stellar Blade has you unlock new, flashy skills as you progress through the game, and not being able to use these as you begin a new playthrough will most likely suck out the fun for most players, especially when they would have gotten used to using them in their original playthrough.
As a few reviews have pointed out, one downside of Stellar Blade is that for a single-player action RPG game, players would not have the option to dive right into a New Game+ after they finished the base game.
Now it seems that while Shift Up was not able to get the mode ready for reviews, they were able to push it out for players around the world to enjoy. This is a pleasant surprise as the developers have previously mentioned that New Game+ will not be available in the launch version.
Stellar Blade is slated to release exclusively on the PlayStation 5 on 26th April 2024.
