Stellar Blade Becomes Highest-Rated Game on PlayStation 5 by User Score

Not only did Stellar Blade launch with generally positive reviews from critics and players alike, but the game has now even scored the title of the highest-rated game by user score on the PlayStation 5 via metacritic.

Yes, Stellar Blade is rated higher by users than some of the critically acclaimed games on the PlayStation 5, defeating Game of the Year title holders like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Elden Ring.

While the game is currently sitting at an 82 metascore from critics, the user score is currently on 9.2, tying with Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways and Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition.

This speaks volumes as Separate Ways is a DLC for Resident Evil 4 Remake, while Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is basically the complete version of the game after years of updates as well as including the Phantom Liberty DLC.

Meanwhile, Stellar Blade is a new IP, as well as the AAA debut title by developer Shift Up, who primarily specializes in mobile games before this.

Stellar Blade has been the center of many controversies on the internet as of late, from culture war to the recent backlash of alleged censorship. From the metacritic user scores, at least it seems that the positive remarks outweigh the negativity.
