Steelrising is now available through PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S. Answer the call to fight King Louis XVI’s army of automatons across Paris, in an alternative universe brought to you by Spiders and NACON.
In 1789, in an alternative Paris, the French Revolution is at a standstill: the people’s revolt is severely repressed by an army of automatons, deployed by order of the King. Powerful and cruel, this army spares no one and violently punishes the rebels. Paris is set on fire: men, women and children are systematically massacred.
Aegis, the engineer Vaucanson’s masterpiece automaton and the Queen’s bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this demanding action-RPG with a strong emphasis on combat.
Aegis, an automaton dedicated to dancing for the pleasure of the Court, is now a warrior, Marie Antoinette’s bodyguard, commissioned to fight her way through a Paris where machines sow terror. Dodge, parry, leap, and attack, practicing in equal measure precision and patience, against all your foes. A multitude of play styles can be yours to master through a deep RPG system and over forty weapons with their own characteristics.
Steelrising makes available to you an 18th century Paris for you to explore via carriage to secret passages. Once you get the grappling hook, your exploration of the verticality of Paris can truly begin, with eight levels for you to re-visit as you expand your repertoire.
Immerse yourself in the world that Spiders Studio has created, reproducing emblematic monuments of the Parisian capital both existing, or destroyed. Anyone can do it too, thanks to an Assist Mode offering the options to help you defeat a frustrating enemy. This does lock you out of certain achievements related to the game’s difficulty, but can be turned on and off at will.
