Bethesda has announced the official release date for Starfield, which will be launching on 6th September 2023. The game will be available on Xbox Series X | S and PC and will be available on day on for Xbox Game Pass.
The release date of the game was revealed in one of the latest video on the official Bethesda Youtube channel. In the same video, Game Producer Todd Howard mentions that Bethesda and Microsoft will hold a Starfield direct event on 16th June where they will be going through more details of the game.
Starfield was originally set to be released on 11th November 2022 but then got delayed without any mentions of a new release date. It was then on 13th June 2022 where they revealed a 2023 release window in a 15 minute gameplay trailer for Starfield.
Premise
Starfield set players in an area that extends outward from the Solar System for approximately 50 light-years called The Settled Systems. Around the year 2310, the two largest factions in the game, the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, are engaged in the Colony War.
The game takes place 20 years after the war, with the major factions enjoying an uneasy peace. The player assumes the role of a customizable character who is a member of Constellation, an organization of space explorers.
