Star Wars fans will have something to look forward to this year as Lucasfilm has released the official trailer and release date for Star Wars: Tales of the Empire.
The upcoming show will be an animated anthology of shorts spanning across 6 episodes and is a spiritual sequel to Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, sharing its art and animation style, and will feature glimpses of the Galactic Empire through the eyes of Nightsister, Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi, Barriss Offee they serve the Empire and the dark side of the Force.
Along with the trailer, a new key art for Star Wars: Tales of the Empire was also released on the official Star Wars website showing the main cast of the season and a few familiar faces from the original trilogy, including General Grievous and the Sith Lord, Darth Vader himself.
Star Wars: Tales of the Empire will be available to watch exclusively on Disney+ from 4 May 2024. This coincides with the final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch which will air its last episode on 1 May 2024.
The show will mark the latest entry into the ever growing collection of Star Wars derivative works, which includes the mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes which will get a PC port in the future.
