It is time to put your simulation training to test as Star Wars: Republic Commando is getting a PS4 and Switch release. Republic Commando will release on the two aforementioned consoles on April 6th 2021. Check out the announcement trailer for the game below:
LucasArts, now rebranded as Lucasfilm Games, developed and published the game way back in 2005 for the Xbox and PC. Currently, Aspyr Media is handling the PS4 and Switch version of the game.
The game puts players in the shoes of a clone trooper who leads Delta Squad, a team of Republic Commandos during the Clone Wars era of Star Wars. Players take on missions far more vital and dangerous than the ones for a typical clone.
Republic Commando is critically acclaimed and considered by many fans to be one of the best games in the franchise. On Steam, Star Wars: Republic Commando has overwhelmingly positive reviews.
Besides its PC version on Steam, the first-person shooter also came out for the Xbox. However, whether or not it will release for the Xbox One remains uncertain.
