Zen Studios has officially announced the release of Star Wars Pinball for Nintendo Switch on September 13. The game is the first ever Star Wars release on Nintendo Switch and previously released on other platforms such as Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 3, it’s set to feature the entire Star Wars Pinball collection, with the addition of new modes.
As previously mentioned, all of Zen Studios’ 19 Star Wars Pinball tables so far will be featuring in the game. They include A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, Rogue One, Solo, with the addition of The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels TV shows.
The game is perfectly built for the Nintendo Switch, here’s why. One of the features of Star Wars Pinball includes a vertical play mode that takes advantage of the screen dimensions of the Nintendo Switch when players hold it sideways. On top of that, there’s also the unique HD Rumble feature.
One of the game modes include Galactic Struggle which allows players to choose between the Light or Dark Side. Next is the Career mode that is designed with short on-the-go gameplay sessions, challenging missions and special Star Wars-themed minigames.
Then comes the Force Powers and Talents game mode where players must collect Holocron Shards during missions to unlock their talents and Force Powers. There’s also the Cantina Jukebox game mode for players to unlock songs. Besides the single player mode, players can challenge each other in Galactic Tournaments and League Play.
Star Wars Pinball will be available not just on the Nintendo eShop but also as a physical edition release, the first time that’s ever happened for a Zen Studios pinball-based game. Stay tuned to Nintendo’s and Zen Studios’ official websites for more future updates!
