One of the most iconic RPGs of its era, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II , will be coming to mobile devices.
The mobile port will be developed by Aspyr Media, and will release on Android and iOS as a premium title for USD 14.99 on December 18th.
The game features a story set before the events of Lucasfilms’ Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, and features a customizable character with the ability to make decisions that swing you between the Light and Dark sides of The Force.
The morality system affects more than just your Force powers, though. Instead, your actions will also have an effect on your party, with characters that only work with you depending on your moral compass.
The original Knights of the Old Republic II was developed by Obsidian Entertainment, who are also known for being behind Fallout: New Vegas. Most recently, they also developed their own IP, The Outer Worlds.
The mobile port of the game will naturally support touch controls, meaning you won’t need a controller or additional peripherals to play the game.
“Fans have been asking for a mobile version of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II for so long, and we’re thrilled to finally bring it to them,” said Aspyr Media vice president of publishing Elizabeth Howard in a press release. “We’re proud to continue working with Lucasfilm to bring classic titles like Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II to modern platforms.”
