According to StarWars.com, all Star Wars gaming titles will come under the banner of Lucasfilm’s newly launched Lucasfilm Games.
StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that Lucasfilm Games is now the official identity for all gaming titles from Lucasfilm, a name that encompasses the company’s rich catalog of video games and its eye toward the future.
The official Star Wars YouTube page uploaded a sizzle reel to commemorate the launch of the new brand. The compilation showcased various Star Wars titles such as Jedi Order and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Even The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu, an expansion pack for EA’s The Sims 4, made its way to the video. You can watch the sizzle reel here:
While Star Wars is definitely the biggest franchise under Lucasfilm Games’s belt, it is not the only one. Gamers from the 2000s should be able to recall some of the Indiana Jones games and the Monkey Island series. Previously under Lucasarts, these IPs and all the other gaming titles under Lucasfilm are now part of the new brand.
The rebranding also happened on social media. The Facebook and Twitter pages of Lucasarts are renamed to reflect the new brand.
On Lucasfilm.com, the website describes its game division as such:
Working hand-in-hand with world-class studios, Lucasfilm Games creates interactive and immersive experiences that help extend the narrative of the Star Wars galaxy for fans around the world.
With titles on console, PC, and mobile, Lucasfilm Games pushes the boundaries of gaming and AR/VR experiences with engaging storytelling, stunning graphics, and innovative gameplay.
