The battle across the galaxy is marking a return as publisher Aspyr announced the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, bringing the third-person shooter series to modern platforms.
Announced in today’s Nintendo Direct, Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection will be launching on 14 March 2024 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
The collection will be including both the original Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II by Pandemic Studios.
Not only is the collection bringing both Star Wars titles to modern consoles, but bonus content will also be included in this release.
For the original Battlefront, the bonus map Jabba’s Palace will be included while the sequel will be getting Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Var: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena.
Additionally, Asajj Ventress and Kit Fisto will also join Battlefront II as new bonus heroes.
Players can also get to replay the campaign of both games alongside the Galactic Conquest mode where they can devise strategies, recruit troops, and execute tactical commands to conquer the galaxy.
The Classic Collection will have online support with up to 64 players and will feature massive locations with many iconic units, vehicles, and starships for control.
Furthermore, the publisher also revealed that Hero Assault has been expanded and will be playable on all ground maps including Death Star, Kashyyyk, Kamino, and Naboo.
