Star Resonance Showcases Extensive Character Creation and Open-World Visuals at SPARK 2025

Tencent’s highly anticipated MMORPG, Star Resonance, made a strong impression at Tencent’s SPARK 2025 event with an in-depth look at its character creation system and new gameplay footage. The presentation highlighted the game’s extensive customization options, giving players unprecedented creative freedom in designing their characters.

The visual showcase offered a promising glimpse into the game’s world of Regnas, with footage demonstrating the environments and gameplay mechanics that players can expect when the title launches. This preview follows news that Star Resonance will enter Closed Beta testing on April 24, 2025, under the “Resonance Test” label.

Star Resonance is being developed as a collaboration between Tencent Games and Shanghai Bokura Network Technology, based on Bandai Namco’s Blue Protocol IP, which was discontinued in January 2025. The game will feature seven unique character classes, twelve combat styles, and full parkour movement capabilities alongside gliding mechanics for traversal.
