Square Enix has released two new trailers for Star Ocean: The Divine Force featuring new characters Theo Klemrath and J.J.
Theo is a knight of the Kingdom of Aucerius, cousin to Laeticia and heir to Crown Prince Lombert. He is like an older brother to Laeticia and Albaird, knowning them since childhood. Big-hearted and magnanimous, Theo also acts as commander in the Aucerian Navy and is trusted by his men.
Amidst the internal politics of the kingdom however, Theo finds himself torn choosing between warmongering father or the king and Laeticia
J.J. is a knight that has mechanised his entire body. He encounters Raymond and Laeticia while fighting to protect his homeland. J.J. is calm and collected yet noble and upstanding as he values his comrades highly. He carries a thin-bladed sword and fights using a unique style of fencing.
Previously, Square Enix has released a trailer introducing Marielle, the lieutenant aboard the Artoria who excels in hand-to-hand combat and firearms.
The brief synopsis of Star Ocean from its official website reads as follows:
On a routine transport mission, Raymond Lawrence’s spaceship is attacked by the Pangalactic Federation and he crash lands on an underdeveloped planet. He meets Princess Laeticia, who is fighting to protect her homeland from an invading empire. Together, they set off on an adventure that will shake the foundations of the entire universe.
Star Ocean: The Divine Force is a new action-RPG by Square Enix set to release on October 27th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. PC will be available on Steam on October 28th.
