STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl New Release Date Revealed

GSC Game World has announced details for their highly anticipated game, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl including a new release date. The game, previously set to launch on September 5, 2024, will now be released on November 20, 2024.

Game Director Yevhen Grygorovych explained that they would use the additional two months to address and fix more bugs, which the development team refers to as “unexpected anomalies.” Grygorovych expressed gratitude for the fans’ patience and support during the extended development process.

These two additional months will give us the chance to fix more “unexpected anomalies” (or simply “bugs”, as you call them). We are always grateful for your ongoing support and understanding – it means the world to us. We’re just as eager as you are to finally release the game and for you to experience it for yourself.”

In conjunction with the new release date, GSC Game World has announced a Developer Deep Dive scheduled for August 12, 2024, in collaboration with Xbox. This comprehensive update promises to showcase various aspects of the game, including:

1. Behind-the-scenes interviews about the development process
2. New footage featuring world overview, locations, gameplay, and cutscenes
3. A full video walkthrough of one of the game’s story quests

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the latest entry in the popular S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Moreover, it blends first-person shooter elements with immersive sim mechanics and horror, promising an intense gaming experience. The game boasts advanced graphics, a large-scale world, and an atmospheric adventure.

GSC Game World, the Ukrainian developer behind the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Cossacks series, has been working on this project as their primary focus. 4Divinity, a digital and retail games publishing company that specializes in bringing international game content to Asia and introducing Asian content to global markets, is publishing the game in partnership with GSC Game World.
