Tsuburaya has officially announced the next chapter of their SSSS series, but instead of an anime it’ll be a Gridman X Dynazenon movie.
Very little information is currently known about the project- outside of the fact that it’s happening, no other information such as a release date or a plot summary have been announced.
That being said, just like its previous series, the movie will still be produced by Studio TRIGGER of Kill La Kill and Space Patrol Luluco fame.
That being said they have revealed a teaser visual for the Gridman X Dynazenon movie- which features DynaRex and Gridman striking a menacing pose next to each other.
It’s been teased since the ending for Dynazenon that the next project would be some sort of Gridman X Dynazenon effort- the ending for Dynazenon shows the giant mech being carried through a portal by Anti, with Gauma in tow following the defeat of the big villain of the series.
The SSSS Project is a series of animations built on the back of the classic Tokusatsu show Gridman (also known as Superhuman Syber Samurai Squad in the west).
The series has gained popularity since the release of SSSS.GRIDMAN in 2018- with characters from the anime appearing everywhere from games like Iron Saga to even Azur lane and Super Robot Wars.
We’ll have to stay tuned for more information about the upcoming movie, with hopefully some sort of trailer showing off the massive tokusatsu heroes together.
