Square Enix has decided to throw Final Fantasy VI fans a bone with a new Masterline 1/6 scale figure of one of the game’s protagonists Terra Branford.
They even released a new video to their youtube channel to show it off in more detail:
The Square Enix Masterline Final Fantasy VI figure is beautiful, showing Terra riding on the magitek she is shown wielding in the iconic opening of the game. The figure also features a Moogle (likely the game’s playable Moogle Mog) leaning against the armor. The giant magitek mount truly captures the steampunk aesthetic of the game.
At 1/6 scale, this figure is more or less a small statue and while a price has not been confirmed, if the previous Nier figure in this line which goes for $3100 is anything to go by, it’s also gonna be pretty expensive.
As of right now, the figure is only listed as ‘coming soon’ without a more specific release period.
The design of the figure is a direct homage to the original Japanese cover of Final Fantasy VI with Terra riding the magitek armor among the steampunk city that is implied to be Narshe.
Terra is one of the central characters of Final Fantasy VI. While the game does not tout a single main character like other Final Fantasy games, Terra is often seen as the closest to being one and often represents VI in crossover media.
