It was just yesterday when we reported about the possibility of Square Enix releasing a major game later this year. Fast-forward to today and it seems that they have revealed a new game already, on Twitter, that is.
Last Idea is apparently the name of this upcoming Square Enix game and it is most probably a RPG. In fact, there are rumours that it is going to be a mobile RPG. The Twitter account of Last Idea is thought to be a fake but there are actually some clues that suggest it is actually an official account that has not been verified yet. You know, the well-known blue tick icon.
Last Idea Twitter account’s only Tweet so far from less than 24 hours ago
The Last Idea Twitter account already has a profile picture which suggests that it is the official logo of the game. Though, a cover photo is missing. Another clue is, among the accounts that the Last Idea Twitter account follows, it is an artist known as Wind.
There are actually rumours of it being a mobile RPG because Wind is specialized in mobile games. He has worked with studios such as Capcom, Cygames and of course, Square Enix. In fact, Wind worked on the character designs for Grimms Notes, a free-to-play RPG by Square Enix.
Furthermore, Wind retweeted the Twitter account’s one and only Tweet. It has all but confirmed that Wind is currently working with Square Enix on this new game.
Oodly, the Twitter account was made way back in October 2018 so why didn’t they just reveal it back then? One possible answer could be that they wanted to wait until after the release of Kingdoms Hearts III to reveal it. Well, we do not know for sure. Many questions remain but RPG fans can definitely be excited about this. Stay tuned for more news.
