Square Enix has announced the release of a playable demo for Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. The demo is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Players can transfer their save data from the demo to the full game upon its release.
The demo introduces players to Emperor Leon and his son, Prince Gerard, as they embark on a multi-generational journey to confront the Seven Heroes. These once-revered figures now seek revenge against the world for unknown reasons. The demo concludes with a battle against Kzinssie, one of the Seven Heroes, setting the stage for the full game’s narrative.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a full 3D remake of the 1993 RPG, marking the fifth entry in the SaGa franchise. The game features both classic and new SaGa elements, including full Japanese and English voice acting and rearranged musical compositions. The game’s story revolves around the Emperor of Avalon defending the Empire against the corrupted Seven Heroes and their legions of fiends. Furthermore, players will guide successive generations of rulers, expanding their realm and confronting the Heroes one by one.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven features a diverse roster of characters from over 30 classes, each with their own unique abilities and tactics. In addition, the game incorporates a succession system that passes down knowledge and abilities through generations via inheritance magic. Moreover, Square Enix will release Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven on October 24 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
