Square Enix has announced the discontinuation of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition on iOS platforms due to a technical issue affecting DLC access. The game, which launched in August 2020 as a remastered version of the 2003 GameCube title, has been removed from the App Store.
We regret to announce that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is no longer available for iOS.
Those who have made in-app purchases on this platform in January 2024 or later can request refunds.

In an official statement released on the Final Fantasy website, Square Enix explained that they were “unable to completely fix the bug and implement the new changes, making it unlikely to resume service for the game.” This technical limitation has led to the permanent termination of support for the iOS version.
The critical issue stems from recent modifications to the in-app purchase system, resulting in players being unable to access their purchased DLC content. This problem is particularly severe for iOS users as the iOS version operates on a free-to-play model, with the full game accessible through an in-app purchase. Which means all iOS users are now unable to access the complete game.
The publisher has announced a partial refund policy for affected users. Players who made in-app purchases from January 2024 onward will be eligible for refunds, though earlier purchases will not be covered. Square Enix has confirmed that other platform versions for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, including PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Android, remain unaffected by this issue and will continue to operate normally.
