Square Enix has a world famous cafe in Shinjuku City that every fan would die to visit once. This time around we had a chance to check the place out ourselves!
Japan has a lot of interesting buildings like how Hong Kong design’s their buildings based on Feng Shui. Artnia itself is a design that looks like a pill shape. At first sight, the building looks pretty plain except for its special shape. We were hoping for a stand-out design that at least have colors or characters painted on the walls of Artnia.
Other than the entrance, there is also a small panel that you can take picture with a Halloween Moogle design!
Taking the first step in, we felt very different. Unlike the other feature cafe like Monster Hunter Cafe, Artnia provides a very comfortable color for your vision.
Within the first few steps, you will be greeted with a lot of official merchandise that Square Enix produce. As expected, there are only flagship titles occupying the shelves. A few other games that we can see other than the flagships were Octopath Traveler and The World Ends with You. Here’s a lot of photos from us to put you in the situation that we were in.
The merchandise store is just the first thing that we had a hard time with. Later, we went straight into the showroom. Just the room design has left our jaws hanging. The room is featured with their latest and hottest entries for their franchises. What caught our eye were the FFVII Remake character SDCC Play Arts Kai. There are also some other characters that you can see. A few that I will highlight are the Zack, Odin & Sleipnir, Dragoon Drachen Armor and much more that you can see! from Here are again a bunch of characters that you will recognize!
There are also a lot of Nier Automata merchandise as well! Here are some photos that might pull your soul away.
With all the merchandise in front of out eyes, we had to give our poor soul a rest. We went to the cafe section. We checked out their menu and figure that we should save some money to buy more of the merchandise. You can expect special themed menus, and this time it was Dragon Quest. The items there listed are in both Japanese and English, so you can understand what the contents are.
Finally before we pry through our wallets, we went to their music section and have a look. There are a huge variety of albums that you can see from Square Enix’s main production team. You can also experience tranquility and listen from the station provided.
As you can expect, we are in total defeat on how many things that we bought. We won’t show you our loot but we can assure you that we are going to be eating oats all day and night for at least a month.
All the photos above are taken with Huawei 20 Pro 48MP AI Quad Camera.
This ends our experience at Square Enix’s Artnia. We had a blast in the store selling our souls to the devils from Square Enix. If you wish to know more about Artnia, you can check it from the link here.
