Square Enix announces three-on-three action game Flame x Blaze for mobile

Square Enix has announced Flame x Blaze, an upcoming free-to-play single/multiplayer action game for iOS and Android. It will be releasing by the end of the year in Japan and later in the West. Produced by an experienced team, including former Kingdom Hearts: Unchained χ producer Hironori Okayama, director Yuji Abe from Final Fantasy XIII series, as well as character designer Gen Kobayashi, this game ought to be on your watch list!

The game has aspects of MOBA gameplay, with fast-paced action with options to play as single or multiplayer. The player takes up the role of an “Agent”, while teaming up with two allies in 3-on-3 battles. The player can also command monsters, level up and use skills with the objective to destroy the enemy’s guardian.

Players can choose their own playstyle, to either gather monsters as allies and strengthen defenses, or go on the offence and fight other Agents head first. The later it gets ito the game, the guardians come to life to commence a full-out attack against each other. Strategy and communication is the key to defeat the enemy.

There’s also a large selection of customizable equipment and unique character skills, so pick what suits your playstyle. Each victory gives rewards that can be used to unlock new characters and upgrade equipment to aid in battle, while climbing the ranks of the Crimson and Blue Flame nations.
