For once, we are getting a smartphone game from Square Enix that isn’t an RPG or has idols as its central focus. In collaboration with Warner Music Japan and Asobi System, Square Enix has announced its upcoming rhythmic puzzle mobile game, which goes by the name DJ Nobunaga.
In case you were not able to tell from the name, DJ Nobunaga puts in you right in the middle of warring states period in Japan. Instead of conquering and killing your enemies, you will instead unite the country through music, or specifically through DJ battles.
Because this isn’t an arcade game, the gameplay and controls are fairly elementary, as all you have to do is to swipe the puzzle pieces according to the shape it has been presented to you.
Pre-registration for the game has yet to go live, so be sure to drop by the official website in the mean time.
