Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories a game based on the SPYxFAMILY anime with no current release date.
Given the game was announced at a Nintendo Direct, it’s currently unknown if the title will be coming to any other platforms other than the Nintendo Switch.
UPDATE: The title will be releasing for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam
SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories has you playing as Anya Forger, and will have you taking photos for your summer holiday in an all-new story.
Funnily enough the trailer itself doesn’t show any photography-based mechanics, rather having Anya playing through various scenarios such as going to the beach or museum, with locations all based on episodes from the anime.
Here’s the official description for the upcoming title:
“Complete a photo diary for homework by living your daily life as Anya in the world of SPYxFAMILY! You will surely find treasured memories in the ordinary daily life.
Not only the family members, Loid and Yor, but also Anya’s friends, Damian and Becky, and even Yuri and Fiona will appear in the game.
In addition to outings, play unique mini-games to get cute costumes, and add color to your memories by dressing up characters in your style!“
This would mark the first solo game for the SPYxFAMILY series, which sees the undercover agent Twilight unknowingly starting a family with the assassin Yor and his adopted daughter, the telepath Anya.
