Looks like Ubisoft Toronto is gearing up to showcase news of the remake of the beloved stealth franchise, Splinter Cell in the coming weeks.
If you head over to the official Ubisoft Toronto Facebook page, the company has changed their profile picture and banner to feature the iconic Splinter Cell multi-vision goggles and its signature glowing green coloring.
This update came shortly after Ubisoft recently revealed that they planned to host the Ubisoft Forward showcase event in Los Angeles on June 10, 2024.
Given the timing, fans are speculating that we will finally get news or perhaps even our first look at Splinter Cell Remake during the Ubisoft Forward event.
The first title of the Splinter Cell series was released in 2002 and the final entry was the sixth installment titled “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist” which launched in 2013.
Since then, the franchise has been dormant for 11 years today, but Ubisoft revealed that they were developing a remake of the first game back in December 2021.
It was also previously revealed that the remake will be rebuilding the first game from the ground up using the Snowdrop engine, and will “keep the spirit” of its predecessors.
The developers also noted they want to ensure they can deliver the idea of “being a ghost”.
