Spiritwish is a game developed by NEON Studio, a subsidiary studio from Nexon Korea that was founded back in 2013. The studio had just made their announcement on their upcoming mobile RPG, Spiritwish. The game, resembling art from Ragnarok Online and Tree of Saviors is one that you might love if you loved the latter titles.
The game brings back the classic look of 2D-esque RPGs on mobile. Where players form a team of 3, the characters will automatically attack the surrounding enemies while player control the skills manually and strategically. Players can also move the characters around to evade the enemy’s attacks that will be indicated with a red-hit-box. You can also either control the battles manually or auto-battle, a feature that’s present in most mobile RPGs.
Of course, you can play the game in landscape mode or in portrait mode – so you can play it easily with a single hand. It was said that the game is an MMORPG, so that means you will be meeting other players in a public space. However as seen in the trailer, there’s a story quest with cut scenes in it as well.
Sadly, like most games that are newly developed in Korea, the game will be released in Korea first. There will be a CBT that will be announced soon within this year. For now, since the game will be on mobile, we could assume that the game will be coming to both iOS and Android devices.
