Spawn Makes His Way to Mortal Kombat Mobile

Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have teamed up with McFarlane Toys to unleash hell on Earth as Spawn invades Mortal Kombat Mobile in a massive summer update, available now on Android and iOS.

Mortal Kombat Mobile is a popular mobile game based on the classic Mortal Kombat franchise. It was released in April 2015 and features a blend of fighting mechanics adapted for mobile play, including character-based battles, special moves, and fatalities. Players build teams of fighters, each with unique abilities and upgrades.

As one of the most highly-requested guest characters in the history of this popular fighting game, the titular character from the best-selling comic book series makes his mobile debut as Tormented Soul Spawn – a Diamond Tier, Nomad Class character who wields the power of Necroplasm.

Voiced by Keith David, the original voice actor of Spawn from the Emmy Award-winning HBO animated series, “Todd McFarlane’s Spawn,” features the iconic design and formidable powers that mirror his Mortal Kombat 11 console version.

With his Hellraiser Passive, Tormented Soul Spawn can generate Necroplasm energy over time, which can be used to heal himself and his teammates – or unleashed against his enemies in devastating counterattacks.

MK1 Kenshi will also be released as the third fighter from Mortal Kombat 1 to join the game. Armed with his mighty Sento blade, this fierce warrior can summon his ancestors’ spirit to increase his speed and cast a terrifying Spectral attack.
