Sony WF-1000XM4 Earphones Announced

Sony has announced the new WF-1000XM4 wireless earphones, mixing features like noise canceling with comfort and portability.

The earphones will be available in Malaysia from “mid-July”, at RM1099.

With its Integrated Processor V1, the WF-1000XM4 earphones are capable of giving reliable noise canceling, without the need of giant headphone cups to totally envelope your ears.

They feature high performance dual noise sensor microphones for excellent noise cancellation. By having two noise sensing microphones per ear – one feed-forward, and one feed-back – ambient noise is heard and analysed, resulting in highly accurate noise cancellation.

A newly designed 6mm driver unit with a 20% increase in magnet volume also improves the earphone’s noise cancelling capabilities. The increase in magnet volume and the high compliance diaphragm gives improved performance in low frequencies and enhances noise cancelling by generating a high-precision cancellation signal to the low frequency range.

On top of that, they also use Sony’s Speak-to-Chat feature, which lets them pause your music when it senses you’re about to talk to someone. Considering the compact size of the earphones, this means you can have normal conversations without risking dropping them just because you were hurriedly taking them out of your ear.

This works in tandem with the Adaptive Sound Control, which will adjust the levels of the audio based on your surroundings, to make sure you don’t miss a beat. On top of that, you can also just pop out the earphones, which will detect the action and immediately pause whatever you’re listening to.
