Sony Malaysia announces PS5 pre-orders for August 2021

Sony Malaysia is at it again. Almost like a tradition now, Sony Malaysia will be opening PS5 pre-orders for the month of August.

Just like last month’s PS5 pre-order batch, Sony Malaysia will not be putting the Digital Edition of the console (the cheaper variant without the disc tray). Instead, gamers can choose between the standard PS5 which costs RM 2,299 and the PS5 that comes together with an extra DualSense wireless controller, priced at RM 2,648. There is no mention of when the PS5 Digital Edition will be available.

Sony Malaysia also shared a list of participating partners & sales platforms for the pre-orders. You can check out the list here for more information.

The PS5 pre-orders for August will also not have Whatsapp-to-Buy options. Other relevant information that you should be aware of, if you are not already familiar with how these pre-order go, is that each PS5 console is limited to one per customer. Accessories and peripherals are also ordered on a first come first serve, while stocks last basis.

To try your luck and hopefully make a successful pre-order in time, visit Sony Malaysia official store or their storefront on Lazada. Remember to only purchase the console from official channels to avoid getting scammed.
