After the technical error two weeks ago for PlayStation Plus members in Asia, Sony has offered a RM 50 (11.38 USD) compensation. However, according to reports from users, the compensation given was listed as RM 0.50 instead of RM 50.
Note that this is not to be confused with the refunds for the extra charge from PlayStation Plus stacking. The RM 50 is compensation offered by Sony to make up for the inconvenience, as noted by the following email from a user on lowyat.net:
However, users on the Malaysian forum have that they’ve been credited RM 0.50 instead of RM 50. Currently, Sony has not made an official response on whether the correct amount is RM 50 or RM 0.50, and whether the email has a typo for said amount.
It’s also worth noting that this issue isn’t just specific to Malaysia. PlayStation Plus members in Hong Kong also encountered a similar error where the supposed compensation does not match the actual amount credited.
Should there be any new updates on the issue, we’ll update the article accordingly. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved for PlayStation Plus members in Asia.
