Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES) announced the release of PlayStation Classic in Malaysia. The PlayStation Classic is a miniature games console that brings back the original look of the first PlayStation! The miniature console will be pre-loaded with 20 of the classic games which includes:
- Final Fantasy VII (SQUARE ENIX Co., LTD.)
- Jumping Flash! (SIE)
- R4 RIDGE RACER TYPE 4
- Tekken 3 (BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc.)
- Wild Arms (SIE)
For now…Where are the rest of the games? Sony will be announcing them soon but if we have to guess (or pray), popular games like Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Crash Team Racing, Marvel Vs Capcom, Street Figher Alpha 3, Harvest Moon, Crash Bandicoot, Digimon World, Digimon World 2, Resident Evil 2, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest VII, Monster Rancher, Chocobo Racing, Chocobo Dungeon 2 or even Crash Bash – just to name them at the top of my head currently…

The miniature games console is set to be released on December 3rd, 2018 at the suggested retail price of MYR 429. Having made its debut in Japan 24 years ago (December 3rd, 1994), the PlayStation has brought with it landmark innovations such as real-time 3DCG rendering and adopting CD-ROMs which impacted the games industry in the 1990s and beyond.
As the miniature console resembles the original PlayStation which includes the button layout as well as the controllers, it is capable of playing 20 pre-loaded classic games of the PlayStation even though its 45% smaller on the sides and 80% smaller in volume than the original.
